My take on things...Q&A

Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

Finding your massage therapist is like finding a soulmate. I have a passion for clinical concepts and an anatomy inspired approach balanced by a creative, fluid intuition. I sometimes feel like I am dancing as I work. We bodyworkers all have a forte and mine is relaxing deep tissue that quiets the mind and dissolves pain.

What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

That we are PROFESSIONALS. Massage has come a long way in the U.S. as a health care regimen. With regular massage (at least 2x a month) we really can reduce chronic pain, symptoms of depression and improve your feeling of well being and even your athletic recovery time!! Utilize this knowledge and start feeling better yesterday!

What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

What is your license #? Do not be afraid to ask this question or to follow-up with your state licensing board to verify!

My VA Certification is 0019012211 through the VA Board of Nursing.

What do you like most about your job?

When my first time clients come out of the massage with deep sighs, and uttering "That was seriously, the best massage I have ever had." The peace that I get personally from my work. Focusing on facilitating healing and relaxation also quiets my mind and every challenge takes my practice to another level.

How did you decide to get in your line of work?

To address my own pain and lifestyle issues as well as those of my loved ones. I kinda "fell into" massage school and have never believed in the power of timing more. I found myself excelling where previously I may not have, and I found passion and fulfillment in a trade where I could help others and myself.

What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

Find someone you feel comfortable with, who has a professional attitude and the knowledge to help you with your specific issues. Like any other profession we all have our own passions within the realm of massage therapy! Find that therapist who meshes well with your expectations and remember that just because you don't love one massage therapist's techniques you may adore another! We all have our own style.

Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

Yes, and I am happy to be a forever student of my trade. There is so much to learn.

What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

I am professional health focused bodyworker. I do not provide services sexual in nature and I will report any inquiries of such to the authorities local to your area. Seriously. I have systems in place to protect my safety as well as the safety of my clients.

What is your greatest strength?

My intuitive healing touch combined with my clinical knowledge.
